BSA Educational Foundation
The BSA Educational Foundation awards scholarships annually to talented and worthy young people within the office products industry.
Eligibility...
These scholarships are available to talented and worthy students, either already at college or starting in the fall, who are:
- employed by an BSA member company; or
- a relative of an employee of an BSA member company; or
- a member of a group affiliated with the office products industry; or
- a relative of a member of a group affiliated with the office products industry.
There are no restrictions based upon employment status, sex, race, creed or nationality of the candidate. Academic success, outside interests, special abilities, financial need and other factors are considered by the scholarship selection committee.

Selection...
Academic success, interest, special abilities, financial need and other factors are considered by judges to select their choice of scholarship recipients. Although the candidate may select the career of their choice, judges may give consideration to careers within the office products industry.
Judges are the Board of Trustees for the Business Solutions Association Educational Foundation, Inc.
Application...
The scholarship applicant must complete a Scholarship Application Form and mail it, along with attachments, to the BSA Scholarship address.
The attachments which must accompany the completed form are:
- A transcript of grades and credits through the most recent grading period (high school applicants) or transcripts covering a minimum of the previous two scholastic years.
- A letter of recommendation from a person employed by a firm in the office products industry. This person should hold an executive or managerial position.
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher, professor or other educational professional.
Contributions...
The BSA Scholarship Fund is supported by contributions from the office products industry and other business groups and individuals.
Contributions can be accepted at any time and in any amount. Contributions are tax deductible. Appreciated stocks, bonds and property should be considered for donation purposes. Consult your accountant or financial counselor to determine the best personal and business contribution for you.
BSA will recognize major contributors to the scholarship fund with a special engraved plague at the Annual BSA Conference. Major contributors are those persons, companies or organizations contributing a one-time or total of $1,500 or more.
Contributions can be made in recognition of special events or in memory of deceased friends. Single contributions of $25,000 or more will be honored by an annual scholarship named after the contributor.
