JASON BARTLETT RECIPIENT IN 1997, 1998, 1999 & 2000
Dear OPWA Board of Trustees:

I was a grateful recipient of your OPWA academic scholarship for several years. I would like to take this moment to extend my deepest gratitude fro being so fortunate as to have been chosen to receive this scholarship. I know without financial assistance, I would never have had the opportunity to pursue a college education.

In ay 2001, I graduated from Maryville College with Magma Cum Laude honors. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Business and Organizational Behavior. After graduating, I obtained employment in Brentwood, Tennessee as a Workers Compensation claims manager for Liberty Mutual Insurance Group. I utilize my vast knowledge and skills acquired from Maryville College on a daily basis. I am currently pursuing an Associate Claims insurance designation, as I strive to become the best in my chosen field.

My brother, Chad Bartlett, has been fortunate enough to be a recipient of your OPWA scholarship for several years as well. Once again, I would like to convey my great appreciation for your scholarship program. I can definitely testify as to how much it has assisted my family and myself in my pursuit of higher education.

Sincerely,

Jason Bartlett

In 2001 I graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a Social Welfare Concentration. I also had a Minor in Women's Studies. I was on the Dean's List in the Fall of 1999 and in the Spring of 2000 and 2001. During the Spring Semester of 2001 I was inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Sociology Honor Society. Along with my academic achievements, I have also been involved with many volunteer activities and completed three internships.

In July 2001, I accepted a position at Fellowship Health Resources, Inc., a leading mental health facility, as an Associate Clinician. My job involves assisting chronically mentally ill adults to live more independently in a group home setting. I will be attending graduate school to obtain a Masters of Arts degree in Sociology with an emphasis on gender and race studies.

In closing, I would like to thank OPWA again for selecting me to receive a scholarship award 5 years ago. I hope that from what I have told you, that I have lived up to the requirements that were used during the award's selection process. I am very grateful for what OPWA has done for me and countless other students in America.

With sincere gratitude,

Crystal G. Dalton
